Hello, my name is Patrick Matthews and I am 6'0" and weigh 170 lbs. Currently, I am a senior at Clarke Central High School. As a three-year varsity starter, my main position is pitcher. On games that I do not pitch, I play centerfield and middle infield. As a pitcher, I throw in the mid to upper 80's. My main pitches are the fastball, 12-6 curveball, slider, and a change-up. As a sophomore, I was selected to the 1st Team All 8-AAAA region as a pitcher and was selected as a pitcher to the Georgia Dugout Club's Underclassman Top 100 team. For my junior season, we moved up to 8-AAAAA which included teams such as Loganville, Winder-Barrow, Gainesville, and Flowery Branch.
My dream is to be able to play at a college or university that offers a quality education and one that will allow me to contribute as best as I can. I am a hard worker, and I take every chance I can to get better, both as a player and as a person. I plan to continue to take time to visit many colleges and universities, and enjoy the game I love at Clarke Central.
