DJ Lawler '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play at the next level and do it well. I want to go to a good college with a good competitive baseball team while getting a good education in the major I choose. I am a hard working self driven athlete that will lead the team through example. You won't find anyone that will work harder. I am 17 years old and growing and improving everyday. Baseball has been good to me and God has blessed me with many abilities and I have a connection with baseball that I don't have with any other sport. Yes, I love sports and many of them, I play varsity basketball, and played middle school football and soccer along with baseball and basketball. With that said, there is something about baseball that makes me want to stay in the game as long as I possibly can. Baseball is not just a game to me, it's a lifestyle. Because through it, character, work-ethics, teamwork, and many other necessary qualities in life are learned and displayed. I'm improving my academics as I am in four honors classes because I realize the importance of academics to get to the next level. I believe I have the skills to play at the next level, the commitment required, and look forward to the privilege and opportunity.
