My collegiate goals are to play baseball at a university with an outstanding academic reputation, further my education, and make a difference by helping others. The location of the school is not as important as the curriculum offered.
I am currently enrolled in a challenging International Baccalaureate program at Pensacola High School and have worked hard to obtain a 5.025 weighted GPA while being actively involved in the baseball program. I obtained a 35 on the June 2015 ACT standardized test and scored a 229 on the PSAT in October 2014. I am also helping to lead a program in the Pensacola community called Backpack Project USA for kids in which we raise money for elementary school children who are deprived and in need of food and assistance. You can visit our website at www.backpackprojectusa.com.
I am a solid pitcher with solid mechanics. I have worked hard to improve my arm strength and mechanics this past summer and have been participating in a strength training program. I am a hard worker and believe that with continued strength training ,solid mechanics, and physical development that I will be throwing in the low to mid 80's by the end of the summer 2015. I have solid control of both 2 and 4 seam fastballs as well as a circle change and a knuckle ball. I have developed my curve ball over the past 12 months and have good control of this pitch as well. I have solid control on the mound and work well under pressure.
I enjoy helping others and work well with my teammates and my coaches. I love the sport of baseball and my dream is to play college ball at a prestigious university.
