Derek West '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6 foot 5, 230 lb, 17 year old Right handed pitcher. I throw 91-93 mph, I top at 94 mph at East Coast Pro tryout in Sebring Florida followed by an 80 mph Change up and a 77 mph Slurve. I am a starting pitcher, I can go the long haul. I have never been suspended, expelled, or got a detention in my entire academic career. I am a leader that takes responsibility for my actions whether they are personal or academic and I strive to be professional on and off the field. I am a humble athlete and I do not let talent take the best of me. I have a very good Work Ethic as well. I give anything and everything into what I do, and there is no room for excuses. I am a team player and will be on my teammates side through every step. I will strive to create the team as a family.
