Thank you for your interest in me and for taking the time to view my profile. My name is Luke Henson and I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old. I love everything about the game and I spend the majority of my time either playing, practicing, watching baseball, or training to be the best baseball player that I can possibly be. In fact, that is what I believe sets me apart from the competition. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get my game to the next level. I am constantly setting goals for myself and I am encouraged when I can meet those goals and move on to the next.
As a player and team mate, I try to be a leader on the field. I want to encourage my team mates to play hard and keep the focus on each play as it is happening. As a catcher, I have to constantly be aware of the situation on the field and thinking ahead to what could and should happen next. Because of this, I find baseball very exciting and challenging and this is why I chose this sport. As a hitter, one of my favorite aspects of the game, I try to constantly perform at my very best level. I enjoy the challenge of being able to win the battle every time I am at bat. For me, there is nothing better than knowing I have helped my team by making every plate appearance count.
I always knew that I wanted to play college baseball and I am excited at the possibilities ahead. I am looking for a college with a competitive baseball program and a coaching staff that can push me to be the best that I can be. I will work hard both on the field and academically to make my college experience the very best that it can be. I am looking forward to meeting you and visiting your college soon.
