Rey Gonce '18 Recruiting Profile

I, Rey Gonce, have a strong desire to excel in everything that I do. I was raised in a well rounded middle class family who have instilled in me a strong work ethic from birth.  As the child of a first generation immigrant, I have learned that everything in life is earned not given.  All these traits make me an ideal college recruit as they tie into both my academic and athletic aspirations. While in college I plan to major in criminal justice. I want to develop a solid foundation for a career after baseball. I want to go into law enforcement and protect and serve my community. Playing baseball at the collegiate level is a dream I've realized is much more attainable as I mature,  and continue to strive for excellence.  I've grown up with the game of baseball.  I am working hard in the classroom, studying for the SAT Test and expect my GPA to increase.  There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not practicing and working hard to achieve my goal. I consider myself to be a leader,  a motivator and a very determined person. I am very coachable, a great teammate and will bring a winning attitude to your baseball team and school. In closing, I want my coaches, my teammates, my school, my parents to know that I will make you all extremely proud.
