Personal Statement

My name is Paul Genners.  I am 5'8", weigh 150 lbs, and run a 6.81 60-yard dash.  I throw right-handed and bat left-handed.  I play for Stanton College Preparatory School.  I earned my Varsity letter freshman year, gaining valuable experience.  Sophomore year, I was the starting center fielder and played middle infield as required.  As a sophomore, I was ranked 7th in batting average (.454) and 8th in RBIs (23) in the Jacksonville city area.  My team went 22-6 and won the first District Championship in school history.  We advanced to the Regional Semi-Finals, hosting and winning a regional game, also for the first time in school history.  What I can offer any team is leadership in both attitude and work ethic.  I am a committed baseball player.  I love the game.  Since age 6, I have been driving forward towards my goal of playing collegiate baseball by working hard at training practices, listening to my coaches, applying strategies during games, and willingly putting in many extra hours of personal practice and training to maintain a high level of performance.  I take pride in working hard, developing my skills, and motivating my teammates to do the same, both on and off the field.  I want to compete at the highest level of competition possible, while playing for the best academic institution for which I qualify.  Selected and named Team Captain my junior year, I look forward to leading my teammates on and off the field as a senior.  My goal is to fill a leading role on any team on which I can add my talents and efforts to enable myself, my teammates, and the program to meet our common goal of success.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
