Teft Hill '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi...My name is Teft Hill and I will graduate from Cypress Lake High School, located in Ft. Myers, Florida, in 2012. I currently have a 3.9 GPA. I am 6'3" and weigh 180 pounds and just turned 17 in May. I have been timed consistently in the 60 in 6.5 seconds. This is what I feel is one of the strong points of my game, speed. I am a center fielder that covers a lot of ground and my base running ability is very fast. I am a high on-base percentage hitter with good gap power to all fields. I started playing baseball at the age of five. I played several of other sports but there was always something special about the diamond that I loved. I have been playing baseball year around in Florida for several years on travel teams (YardDawgs, Orlando Scorpions). I attended the IMG Wood Bat Instructional League for seven weeks two summers ago and I have attended several showcases (Perfect Game, TPX, Junior Olympic Tryout, Prospectwire) where I have experienced great competition. My high school is in the 3A classification in Florida which is extremely competitive and has sent many players on to the next level. I feel that I have received excellent coaching throughout my career that has lead to a very solid understanding of the game. One of the things that coaches will tell you is that I am VERY coachable and I am a quick learner. I am looking forward to playing college ball at a school that will offer me not only a solid academic environment but also the opportunity to play on a competitive level with good team chemistry, as I am a team player at heart.
