Isaiah Blackwell '15 Recruiting Profile

It is my goal to attend college and play collegiate baseball.  Baseball is a passion of mine that was sparked at the age of 4.  It is a dream to play collegiate baseball as I understand that only a select few get the opportunity to continue playing after high school graduation.  I am a good candidate because I am a well-rounded person with a consistent positive attitude that excels in academics and baseball.  I possess confidence in my abilities, mental toughness and emotional control in stressful situations which are traits that I feel makes me different from other recruits. I have been able to utilize my leadership skills in my role as Varsity Team Captain.  Also, I have been volunteering in the church nursery for 10 years which has allowed me to acquire patience and dedication, which are very important characteristics needed for attending college and playing baseball.  

My future academic and career goals are to go to college and study for a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology.  In this career, I look forward to helping others, as well as, ensuring the safety of those around me.   

In closing, I am a hard working, dedicated, coachable individual who treats the game of baseball with the highest level of respect.  I feel that I would be an asset to any team and hope that you would consider giving me the opportunity to showcase my talents for your team.
