Tanner Thompson '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tanner Thompson and my goal is and always has been to play baseball at the collegiate level. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old.  I have been playing infield and pitching since I was 7 yrs old.  I started training specifically for baseball at the age of 8 and have kept up my training throughout my baseball career.  I pitched my first no hitter at an all star game at the age of 11.  I hit my first home run in little league.  I have played travel ball since I was 11 years old and most recently (last summer) traveled with the Ostingers playing some of the best baseball at East Cobb, WWBA, Perfect Game, and Prospect Wire.  I have played at the Varsity level at my high school since my Sophmore year, and played several games with the Varsity my freshman year.

I want to pursue a career in Sports Management/Coaching/Training/Scouting and I am looking to take my baseball playing to the next level.  I am a positional player with a strong bat - I hit for power and accuracy.  I have fast hands and can make things happen.  I am a RHP with my most recent times clocked by other colleges at 86 mph fast ball.  I have alot of offspeed pitches.  I am strong at the corner positions and defense solid.  I know the game  and am a leader and will always do what is best for my team to include building up others.   I appreciate your consideration as a player on your team.
