James Runnebaum '17 Recruiting Profile

My dream has always been to play college baseball. Ever since coach pitch ball I've wanted to be on that big stage doing what I love just like the guys that I watched.

I like to consider myself to be a leader. Any team that I have ever been on I was always a leader, getting people's heads up when they are down, holding a team meeting when a situation is rough, and most importantly to me, making everybody work hard. I have a very strong work ethic, no matter what it is I live by the words "work hard or don't work at all", and make sure to have it rub off on others. As a sophomore still on JV I placed 3rd in my School's "iron falcon challenge" behind two seniors and in front of 8 seniors. On the field I am a gap to gap guy in the outfield, and while my 60 time is not incredibly fast, there are not many balls that will drop around me. I also excell in the classroom with a 4.03 GPA, a 1290 on the SAT and a 26 on the ACT. I have always been an honors student and will be taking AP classes my senior year. I also like to give back to the community by volunteering with special needs children/people through Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital and The Aternative Education Foundation.
