Since I began playing little league, I have always had that dream of playing College Baseball. As I started progressing in my skills and getting older I have been determined to put in all the work as I can to play at the next level. In High School, I started every game as a Freshman, playing Left Field for the Varsity team and immediately became a leader. As a Sophomore I started at Shortstop every game and hit 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the order and was awarded First Team All-Orange Coast League for two years. While playing baseball, I have developed many skills and character lessons that can be applied to everyday life such as Servant Leadership, Patience, Self-discipline, Time Management, and Integrity. Being a student-athlete has been my vehicle to model these attributes. Following the path that God has established for me, respecting the boundaries and teachings of my parents and associating with like minded friends is very important to me. Every time I step on the field I try to get better at something and if I think that I haven't then I stay later and work until I have. When I leave the field, everything I have learned from baseball gets engraved in my personality and my actions. Since actions speak louder than words I am always trying to lead by example on and off the field. I want to be the best person I can be and set the best example for people that follow me. I understand that a very small percentage of baseball players make it to the Professional level, and I may very well end up as a Professional in a different industry. However possible, I believe that baseball is an avenue for me to get a great College Education. I would like to play at a school that competes at a high level and offers excellent academic opportunities. I believe that I can be a leader and a good representative of a Baseball team and it's academic institution. Playing College Baseball is the next important step in my career and I plan on doing anything possible to make that happen.
