My collegiate goals and aspirations center on attending the academic school of my choice while playing baseball. I feel it is important for me to be challenged and supported in the classroom and on the field. Balancing both baseball and school is challenging, and doing both well is my ultimate goal. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to be a strong yet humble leader both on and off the field. As a pitcher, I get how I show up on the mound often dictates the tone and pace of the game for my team. Coaches count on my composure staying consistent with my emotions on the mound. In the dugout, I am dialed into the game, and often lose my voice cheering on our team. I am blessed to have been voted MVP of my team last year. Being part of the highly competitive Trinity League, I appreciate how coaches stress balancing character, athletics and academics. I have been practicing these behaviors all my life at home, in school and on the field - and all three are equal priorities for me. I feel a strong sense of responsibility to not only show up to the best of my abilities for my team and coaches, yet my school, my family and myself in all areas of my life. Being first in my class, or a starting player, or tutoring classmates, or a son my parents are proud of are results of hard work and dedication. I also know how to have lots of fun, and this combination of appreciation and enjoyment is unique to me.
