Personal Statement

I am a 5'10'' infielder from Chandler, Arizona. I have made the varsity team at Seton Catholic Preparatory High School my sophomore year and have had ample playing time thus far. I am also a part of the AZ Angel's scout baseball program. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA with a 33 SS ACT and am part of the John's Hopkins University National Young Scholar Program.

I am looking for an institution where I can find high academic and athletic standards. I would like to pursue a school with an outstanding academic reputation in the hope of receiving a strong degree. I would like to be able to make a difference right away on a college team. I believe my best fit would be at a high academic school, and I will consider all other universities.

  • 2013 Angels Amateur Baseball (AZ) Fall Team (16u)
  • 2012 Arizona Vandals (Majors)
  • This club season has been the climax of all my club season thus far. We won three tournaments in the 15u fall season and qualified for Winter Nationals (Super NIT) in Arizona. We played up an age and ended up winning the 16u division.
  • 2011 Arizona Vandals (Majors)
  • This club season is when I developed my mental game and put my classroom smarts to good use on the field. I became a great situational fielder, hitter, base runner, and pitcher. My team also qualified and went to a Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat Springs, CO in which we placed second.
  • 2010 Arizona Vandals (AAA/Majors)
  • This is the year my club team improved immensely. We qualified for a USSSA World Series tournament at the end of the season and placed second in it. This is the season I feel in love with short stop and really got over mental and emotional roadblocks in my game especially on the pitcher's mound.
  • 2009 Arizona Vandals (AA/AAA)
  • This year was all about improvement and development for me as a player. I feel that I mastered many fundamentals and mechanics during this club year. This is the first time I started playing one hundred plus games a year and it was the real start of my baseball career.
  • 2008 Arizona Vandals (AA)
  • This was my first year of club baseball and at the end of the year, I was hooked on the sport. During this season, I worked on getting fundamentally sound and improving each time I took the field.
