April 2013Personal Statement
I have wanted to play baseball at the college level since I was in elementary school. I have worked hard to perfect my baseball skills along with my academics. Many times great athletes do not make it in college because they are not academically prepared. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and in my dual enrollment college courses.
My goal is to continue playing baseball. I love the game and can't imagine not playing. I am very competitive both on the field and off. I will major in chemical engineering or pre-med with plans to apply to medical school. I would like to become a neurosurgeon, helping those with spinal cord injuries to walk again.
I am a hardworking, dedicated Christian athlete. Being an athlete has kept me focused, taught me to manage my time and provided an opportunity to continually strive for improvement. I have the skills needed to play at the college level. I work at every aspect of the game, athletically and mentally. I give my coaches and team a focused, unselfish player who strives for excellence.
