My name is Mason Rodgers. I'm 17 years old, a senior at Cherokee County High School in Centre, Alabama. I'm starting centerfielder on our varsity baseball team, CCHS Warriors, as well as a team captain. We made it to second round of playoffs last year, and made it to third round of playoffs this season. We ended our season after a 12-inning game last week...losing 4 to 3 to Madison Academy.
Academically, I do what it takes. I have played baseball and football throughout high school and maintained my grades while taking AP classes. I am graduating with honors with GPA 3.7. My ACT is 22 but I have been accepted to every school that I have applied to, including Alabama, Auburn, and Mississippi State.
I love baseball. I work hard on every play and leave it all on the field every game. I have only had 4 errors my last two seasons. If given the opportunity to play college baseball, I will work hard for my coaches and my team. I don't give up. I don't get into all the talk. I just let my performance speak for itself. I am not big, but I do play big; and, if given the opportunity, I will prove that I am worthy.
