I am a Recruiting Specialist for NCSA after serving for 18 years at the NCAA level, 14 of which were as a Head Coach, eight in FOOTBALL, four in BASEBALL, and two in FAST PITCH SOFTBALL. My emphasis was in football and accumulated a career HC record of 50-35. As an offensive coordinator and a head coach, we went to the NCAA National Championship Play-Offs, achieving a “sweet 16” and “elite eight” appearances as well as a bowl game. I was awarded four Coach of the Year honors one of which came from the East Coast Football Officials Association presented in appreciation of support for Sportsmanship in Collegiate Football. We built our programs with many student-athletes first exposed to our staff by NCSA.
I was fortunate to spend 14 years in professional football in the National Football League as well as the Canadian Football League and the original XFL. I have been a part of staffs that have won Eastern Division Championships in all three leagues and have worked with the likes of Cal Murphy, Galen Hall, Andy Reid, Steve Spurrier, and Joe Gibbs.
I am inducted in the Delaware County Athletic Hall of Fame (Muncie, IN) and the Bluffton University Hall of Fame playing the position of quarterback.
In addition to coaching and personnel, I served as a professor of Sport Management winning the “Make a Difference Award” for outstanding teaching and mentoring. I also represented professional players with one drafted #6 overall in the 2013 NFL Draft.
As a parent of a former high-level collegiate athlete, I understand the process on both sides of recruiting and can show you how NCSA can be an asset to your process.
