Prior to playing college soccer at Northern Kentucky University, I played several sports growing up in the Chicagoland area. After graduation from NKU, I spent 15 years working for several professional soccer teams in business development roles. At each stop along the way, I continued to coach at the youth level.
The son of immigrant parents and unaware of the ins and outs of the recruiting process, I was fortunate to eventually have found a place to compete collegiately. My dream of playing in college almost didn’t happen. NCSA allows me to share my experience with families, making sure they don’t make the same mistakes we made. I can only wish that NCSA was around when I was going through the recruiting process in the 1990s.
Since starting at NCSA in November of 2011, I have mentored/advised nearly 4,000 student-athletes (various sports) and their families in their pursuit of finding the right college athletic and academic fit.
Personally, in 2015, I found myself back in the coaching arena, coaching our middle child’s soccer team. My wife, Jackie, and I enjoy watching our three children compete in all of their sports: soccer, baseball, golf, tennis, swimming, skiing and bowling.
