I was raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Prior to college, I competed in Basketball and Soccer at Cedar Rapids Prairie High School. I was fortunate enough to be apart of the soccer team there that was ranked as high as #5 in the country by USA Today. I played my club soccer at Sporting Iowa where we won 4 club state championships. After high school I attended a four-year college at Simpson College where I competed on the Men’s Soccer team and helped the team finish with their best conference finish in 21 years.
The most rewarding part about working at NCSA is being able to help high school prospects during their recruiting process and connecting with families to guide them in the right direction. My message to student athletes that want to play at the college level is never sell yourself short no matter what level you think you are at. I have seen many athletes growing up that are told they aren’t at the level they think they are at but outworked everybody to attain their dream. College programs look at your performance in academics first before looking at how good of an athlete you are so make that a priority. If you commit yourself to your sport and set personal goals for yourself then the greater chance of success you will have.
I currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. In my free time I coach youth soccer U9 boys at Heat FC in Las Vegas, Nevada to help the next generation of athletes. I also enjoy attending the athletic events here in Las Vegas especially the Golden Knights games!
