I attended Concordia University Wisconsin where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Sport Management) degree while competing collegiately in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. I was voted team captain of my cross country program in both my junior and senior seasons. I began my coaching career at the high school level (Living Word Lutheran High School) where I was fortunate to take a program who had never finished higher than 4th in their conference and helped them place 4th in the entire state of Wisconsin in back-to-back cross country seasons. I was named the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association District Coach of the Year and received multiple awards for Outstanding Leadership from the WCCCA.
While also working as an assistant athletic director and business teacher (teaching Sport Business, Economics and General Business), I earned a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine. Upon completion of my master’s degree, I transitioned to coaching and recruiting at the collegiate level serving as an assistant coach at Concordia University Wisconsin, Director of Cross Country/Track and Field at Cardinal Stritch University, and Head Cross Country/Assistant Track and Field Coach at North Park University. At each stop, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to see multiple school records broken, bigger team rosters, and incredible team cultures.
The most rewarding part of working for NCSA is getting to use my years of coaching and recruiting experience as well as my education to assist student-athletes and their families in finding the college of their dreams!
When I’m not working at NCSA, you can find me, my wife (Nora), and our dog (Roo) out running as we are all very active runners. Nora and I recently completed Grandma’s marathon (June 2023) in Duluth, Minnesota and both qualified for the Boston Marathon.
